BIOGRAPHY

Arthur Nick Blea was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1956. Started playing drums in 1969. My first band was Manic Depression. Started gigging at age 13. Next band was Lexington Frost which turned into Blitzkrieg, with Mike Whitt on guitar, Gilbert Roman on vocals and bass, Mike Albert (Megadeath and El Chicano) on Slide guitar. Meanwhile jamming with John Avila (Oingo Boingo), Chris Poland, (Megadeath) and John Jarvis (Rod Stewart Band).
Started Felony in 1974. I played with them for 10 years. Felony jammed with Peter Case, The Plimsouls at the Felony House in 1982.

Movie credits for Felony include: "The Fanatic" Valley Girl (Nicholas Cage) Soundtrack Album. "The Fanatic" Lonely Lady (Pia Zadora) Soundtrack Album."The Fanatic" in the Topher Grace movie Take Me Home Tonight . The 1981 film Graduation Day tracks Gangster Rock, The Killer and Lucky Strike.

After I left Felony I played with a classical soundtrack-sounding band called Ancient Children.
In 1985 I did a tour of South America with Felix And The Katz, a Latin rock group. I also played a gig
With Alvin Gibbs(U.K. Subs) and Mike Tovar (Food for Feet). After that two heavy metal bands Storm Trooper and Hot Leather. For a year or two, I was a drummer with the band Bomb, this turned into StillSane.

I joined a short-lived band called The Altar Boys with Pete Freeze (Alice Cooper Guitarist) I formed the Hippy Shakes with singer and Guitarist Kevin Doll, this lasted a couple of years. With the Shakes, I had the pleasure of recording with Ian McGlagen (Small Faces, Faces, Rolling Stones, etc.) Next, I formed a band with the singer of Still Sane called Stoned Immaculate while playing with The Jim Lacey Band. Later I drummed with a band called Sticky Fingers, a Rolling Stones tribute band.

Next, I moved to Stockholm, Sweden for 11 years sometimes playing in three bands at a time.
I played in a lot of bluesy rock n’ roll psychedelic bands. To name a few Hoochie Koo, Harp Train Blues Band,
Mr. Skin, Amazing Flaming Heads, Tony and the Tigers, and Rough N’ Ready. I also
played with the Titanic Toys and Psychotic Jam more like heavy rock bands. I played with Psychotic Jam for about four years. I formed Black Cloud in 2005. I hated to leave that band but it was time to move back to
the States. Back in the U.S. I recorded with Xinsex. Formed Gide Show with Gide Merriman, came up with "The Quiz" which I enjoyed working on and playing. I later started playing with The Kris Olsen Band for
about three years.
I would very much like to perform "The Quiz" again!
